Most guiding fails in a specific way: the guide delivers the same forty-minute set piece they deliver every day, to a group whose actual interest was somewhere else entirely. An architect and a family with two bored children need the same monument explained completely differently.
So we brief guides before the visit rather than introducing them at the gate. If your group is technical, we say so; if they have ninety minutes and want the three things worth seeing, we say that instead. The guide’s licence gets them into the site — the brief is what makes the hour useful.
Guides are licensed for the monuments they work at, which is a legal requirement at protected sites and not a formality. Where a group needs a subject specialist rather than a site guide, we arrange both and let them split the day.

Are your guides officially licensed?
Yes — guiding at protected monument sites in India requires a licence, and we use licensed guides for those sites.
Can we have a guide in a language other than English?
Yes. Tell us the language when you enquire, since availability varies by city and by date more than by language.
Can one guide travel with us across cities?
A subject specialist can. Site guiding at protected monuments has to be done by someone licensed for that site, so those change city to city.
