Helicopter charter
Rotor movement for site visits, pilgrimage routes and short sectors where the road journey would cost a full working day.
Helicopters earn their cost in a narrow band: the journey that is too far to drive comfortably and too short or too awkward to fly on a fixed wing. A site visit that takes nine hours by road and ninety minutes by air is the clearest case, and it is most of what we arrange.
The constraint is rarely the aircraft. It is the permissions, the landing site and the weather window, and those are what we work on first. A helipad that exists is not the same as a helipad you are permitted to land on this week.
We plan rotor movement with a road fallback in place, because weather cancels helicopters at short notice and a programme that has no ground option simply stops.
What the booking includes
- Single and twin engine
- Helipad permissions
- Aerial survey and filming
- Single and twin-engine aircraft
- Helipad and landing permissions
- Aerial survey and filming sorties
- Pilgrimage and hill-route sectors
- Road fallback planned alongside
- Ground transfer at both ends
How it works
01
Tell us the points, not the aircraft
Where the guest needs to be and by when. The aircraft type follows from the sector, altitude and passenger load.
02
We work the permissions first
Landing site and clearances are the long pole; the aircraft is usually the easy part.
03
A road fallback is planned in parallel
So a weather cancellation costs you a slower day rather than a lost one.
Questions
How likely is weather to cancel?
It depends entirely on season and route, particularly on hill sectors. We will tell you honestly when a date carries real risk rather than booking it and hoping.
Can you arrange filming or survey flights?
Yes, including the permissions those need, which are different from a passenger sector’s.
Is there a minimum sector?
Practically, yes — very short hops rarely justify the positioning time. We will say when a car is simply the better answer.
Send us the dates. We will send back a plan.
Tell us where your guests land, how many of them there are and what has to happen while they are here. You will have a written movement plan and an itemised quotation back within one working day.
